The objective of this audit was to determine if the City exercised proper oversight of the existing sanitation contractor's curbside trash collection services and other contractor's contract compliance to provide assistance with oversight. The Inspector General's Office finds that the city paid significantly more money post-Katrina per trash pickup location, despite a dramatic drop in pickup locations.
